Dear Sir,

I am writing from Mainland China. Would be happy if you could answer the following questions to guide me about how to open foreign business in Hong Kong.

1. Can I use Mainland China's business license to open a branch office in Hong Kong?

2. What are the procedures for opening a joint venture of foreign business (import-export) in Hong Kong and how long does it take?

3.  I wanna deal mainly in importation of liquid milk from South Africa food company to Hong Kong.

What are the procedures and how long does it take?

Any foreigner can register a company in Hong Kong.

It can be a natural body or a legal person. Requirement is about director: at least one director should be a natural body. I think no problem for you. You said import to Hong Kong or you need to import to China then?
