Jo Machado	posted 29 December 2008 04:17 PM I bought a computer in China through the Internet. The company that sold the computer, told me that the computer was detained at the customs in China and I have to pay EUR 150 for an export tariff. Is that so?
Johnny Cheung	posted 31 December 2008 12:21 PM 1.computer exportation no need to pay tariff in china,in fact,in order to encourage exportation, export refunds will be transferred to qualified exporter. 2.Possible reason for detained cargo: The company is not qualified exporter with self export right, and they didn't arrange cargo inspection first as per relevant rules. These caused the detain. Solution:need more details such as Port of Loading,cargo volume to check out the situation and arrange a proper solution.
