I would like to know if I have to apply another license in China if I want to import the alcohol beverages into China via Hong Kong. We've already got the import license of alcohol in Hong Kong.

Imports of alcohol in China are subject to inspection and quarantine controls, and import license may be obtained from local trade and economic cooperation department.

Licences and permits are only required for certain dutiable liquor commodities defined in the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance, Cap. 109. They are alcoholic liquors with an alcoholic strength above 30% by volume measured at a temperature of 20 degree Celsius -- liquors such as brandy, whisky, gin, rum, vodka and etc.
