I am looking to import some advertising sign from China to USA. Does anyone know the what's the duty rate is?

There is no customs duty for import of trade advertising material into the USA from China.

May I refer to your answer more correctly, did you say that export out from China there no tax needed from the mainland? only tax of receiving country required? Thanks!

There are few commodities such as some mineral and metal products that are subject to export tax in China.

Is there any export fees associated with buying a camera from China and being shipped to Canada? The value of the camera is 230 euros. thanks for your help.

There is no export fee for the camera shipped to Canada from China.

Hi I am going to start an online fashion store and will be using two wholesale companies that dropship from China to the US. What type of taxes will be implemented for dropshipping clothing,shoes,jewerly etc.?

The US import tariff rates for imported clothing from China can range widely from one category to another. Clothing items are contained in the US Harmonized Tariff Schedules Chapters 60, 61 and 62. Please specify details of the goods before the duty rates can be identified. Same are also true for shoes and jewellery.

I am a shoe manufacturer in the mainland. I am told that the import duties for shoes are very high in the US, which can range up to 65%. Is it correct?

for Michael: US import duty for cameras classified under HS Heading 9006 are free of duty, whereas duty for cameral related accessories may vary from 2% to 6.8%. Please click here for information of fees that may be collected when goods enter the US customs.

for Pius Adejumobius 24 Sept: imports of laptop computer (HS 84713001) and Ipod (HS 85198140) are free of import of duty. However according to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), in addition to duty and possible excise tax, goods imported into the United States are subject to user fees. Please read more in this forum on this subject.

for name supplied 23 Oct: US import duty for sunglasses under HS 90041000 is 2%. Please also see other entries in this Forum regarding other fees charged by the US Customs and Border Protection.

I'm importing a jet ski for $1,112.00 us dollars from china to usa.What type of import tax or duty tax if any may i expect? And upon registering the jet ski at my local office should i expect any other taxes of the jet ski other than that of a direct reflection of the 1,112.00?

for Mike 20 Jan: US import duty for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear classified under HS Heading 6112 can range from 14.9% for cotton made ski and 28.2% for synthetic or other textile ski goods. In addition to duty and possible excise tax, goods imported into the United States are subject to user fees collected by the US Customs and Border Protection CBP depending on the type of entry and mode of transportation used to bring the goods into the US.

I want to import about 80 pounds of bamboo top (roving) and about 50 lbs of milk protein top (roving) into the USA. This is fiber derived from bamboo and milk, and is ready to spin into yarn/thread. So far I have not been able to find anyone who can tell me what kind of import taxes I will be looking at. help!

for name supplied 24 Jan: The range of import duties in the US Harmonized Tariff System can be very high from 3% to 32% depending on the types of garments, method of manufacture and materials used. You need therefore to have the commodities clearly specified in accordance with these parameters before a correct customs duty rate can be determined. Please refer to HS Headings 6111, 6112, 6113 and 6210 to which a sweat shirt belongs.

There are no specific HS codes for the mentioned fibres but maybe included in HS Heading 5303 jute and other textiles based fibres for which the import duty in the US are rated zero.

for hj8704 Feb 12: US current import duty for leather jacket (HS 4203.10) is 6% whereas for leather shoes (part of HS headings 6403 and 6404) range from free to 8.5%.

I am starting a small business and I plan to import several types of infant clothing articles. The main clothing article I plan on importing is infant tights. They will be 70% cotton and 30% spandex. What will the import duties be?

USA import duty for baby garments and clothing accessories (babies socks and booties of cotton knitted) under HS Heading 6111206050 is 8.1%. Rates can go up higher to 14.9% for other textiles materials.

Hello i am doing an order from china. It is clothing and consisit of just blouses and maybe bags. The materials they are made of are nylon, cotton, chiffon. and some material called pu. Does anyone know if i will be charged import tax. The highest the price would go is around 450 us dollars. I did do a test from another company but only 12 pieces and wasn¡¦t charged anything. I want to test this new company and they said they are not responsible for any additional fees. Also it will be sent to california. Thank you.

for Gal 20 Feb: USA import duty rates for swimwear (HS 6112.3 and 6112.4) range from 13.2% to 25.9% depending on types of materials used. Apart from customs duty imports into the USA are also subject to other fees required by the Customs and Border Protection. Please read more in this forum.
