I am a manager who working in a trading company in Hongkong. Due to getting more and more business with Japan company. Therefore, we decided to hire a Japanese who can be our translator. I am just wondering after hiring that person. What kind of processing we have to take and which government department we should contact to? Do they have to pay taxes in Hong Kong or Japan Government? Is that necessary to support their resident? Can we hire a part-time job? Any contract needed? Look forward for your prompt replying. Thank you.

In general, any person other than those having the right of abode or right to land in Hong Kong, must obtain a visa before coming to Hong Kong for the purpose of education, taking up employment, training, investment or residence. For details please click here.
